1997 Dick Trickle, Heilig Meyers, Ford Thunderbird, Winston Cup Road Course Car

Previous owner purchased this car directly from Junie Donavey as a roller in October 1997. It was a time of transition in NASCAR. The change to the taller and safer Taurus in the 1998 season was coming.

The car was originally built by Bahari Racing with frame # BARH9 stamped on the cage and chassis date stamped on the left front spring tower of 9-15-93. The car still has the original paint and graphics as it came off the track in 1997.

Winston Cup Racing History thought to be used in 1997 season as primary or secondary backup car for road racing. Dick Trickle DNQ with 12 others for the Save Mart Super Markets 300 May 4th, 1997. Dorsey Schroeder qualified 19th for the August 10th, 1997, Bud at the Glen and finished 31st. The previous owner had Dorsey look the car over in 2018 at the BRIC Road America and Dorsey stated, he could have driven this car”. Tom Baldwin was Crew Chief.

Previous owner completed the driveline Road America setup late fall of 2011.

Current Vintage Racing History started 2012 BRIC Road America to current. Always a fast good handling car. This car has been a proven Vintage Race Performer. Current Owner earned the “Hard Charger” designation in the 2021 WIC at Road America.
